Bell Ringer: List your 5 favorite Thanksgiving day foods (Type 1)

Task 1: Draw 3-7 pictures that are the most important parts of your book (In Readers Journal, Due December 5) No Writing

Based on your independent reading, draw 3-7 pictures (4-5 goal number) that represent key parts or events in your novel. Consider the following when drawing the pictures: characterization and interactions, setting, and conflict. You can also consider important objects or sumbols in the novel. Please complete this in your Reader's Notebook (or on computer paper). Remember the following rules: no writing, your original artwork only - no computer graphics or Paint drawings, no digital photography and not cut out pictures. These may be options in the future, but for this task I want your own drawings. The drawings are not important;. the story they tell is the significant part.

See Reading Page for models and more.

Task 2: Went over Web Quest

Each student was assigned a letter (A-E). Students are to visit site of Web Quest, click on start quest, and then find their group of words. Once they find their words, they are to click on each word to learn about the word, its connection to mythology and to our world today. Once they have read about the word, they are to compete the worksheet for their group. The worksheet needs to be completed by Friday, December 4.

Homework: Pictures are due Friday December 4th and Web Quest is due Thursday December 3rd.
